Ramona Green - President:
Ramona received her M.S. degree in Education from Johns Hopkins University, and her B.S. degree in Early Childhood Education from Coppin State University. Ramona has been an early childhood classroom teacher, reading teacher, specialist in the offices of Parental Involvement, Title I, and Curriculum and Instruction for Baltimore City Public Schools (BCPS).
She is currently on staff as a part time early learning staff developer at a Baltimore City elementary school, a consultant for Baltimore City's Judy Centers, and the Maryland State Department of Education's Accreditation Project. Ramona provides training and support for staff at center based child care facilities, Head Start, and public pre-kindergarten and kindergarten programs throughout the state, on the Maryland Model for School Readiness (MMSR) framework, The Ounce Scale, The Infant/Toddler Assessment, Social and Emotional Foundations for Early Learning (SEFEL), and the Ready at Five literacy program, (VIOLETS).
As a Maryland State Department of Education Accreditation Project Trainer, she delivers accreditation orientations, provides program improvement visits, renders technical support to early learning programs, and is an experienced program validator.
Ramona is affiliated with the International Reading Association (IRA); Southern Maryland International Reading Association (SOMIRAC); Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD); National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), two interest groups; ELLs /DLLs in Early Childhood and Public School Education Foundation, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. (AKA)
